Fire Outlook & Resources
Fire Danger
The fire danger rating, shown at the top of the main page and other pages, indicates the relative danger of wildland fires within our protection boundaries. The danger is classified as either L (low), M (moderate), H (high) or E (extreme).
In addition to the NCFD website, the fire danger is also posted on two signs within our protection district. One sign is facing Yellow Point Road, on the front lawn of the NCID and Fire Hall (Street View). The other is located on the north end of the Nanaimo River bridge, near the intersection of Wilkensen Road and Cedar Road (Street View).
